I say it every time – but who doesn’t love a new brewery opening? I personally am always happy to see a new set of doors open up, and some new taps pouring liquid gold into glasses. Good news for me (and for you if you feel the same way) we’ve got a great new addition coming into our beer scene before the end of this month, and it’s been one that we’ve been eagerly waiting on for a while now. Cartridge Brewing Company. They’re here.

Wait, Who’s Cartridge?

Ok, maybe you haven’t been paying attention. Maybe you don’t often roll over to my ‘Coming Soon’ page to make sure that you know who’s coming along. That’s ok. We can get caught up.

The biggest thing that you need to know about Cartridge Brewing company is the location. They took a space in the old Peter’s Cartridge Factory (see where that name came from?) and decided that they’d be part of the space’s renovation into a mixed used development. It’s been a LONG road – I mean… a lot of breweries have long roads in getting their doors open, but this one has been nuts. The difficulty of getting environmental cleanup, fixing up the building and then building out a brewery is real – but in the wake of a long process, we’re blessed with something that is absolutely unique and really, really exciting to see come to life.

The brewery is situated right on the bike path, right next to the Little Miami River, nestled down in a gully packed full of trees (not to mention that the development planted even more trees during the process). It’s stunning, and immediately brings you out of your “normal life”. The building itself dates back to the 1800s and the concrete building oozes history that you can’t replicate in new construction. The brewery put a lot of time and effort into creating a space that pay homage to the history and doesn’t cover it up.

Really – it’s gorgeous. I’ll have more to come in the near future to give you some peeks into what to expect from them, but for now? That grand opening.

The Grand Opening Celebration

Like I said before, it’s been a long, long process – but Cartridge is opening their doors. They’ve set their opening party for October 31 – November 1st, but are doing a lot to make sure that things still stay safe, comfortable and socially distant in the middle of the craziness that we’re in.

To help facilitate that, they’re limiting the amount of people that are going to be able to attend the event (it’s actually full up already). But. BUT. They’re open. Pay attention to their social media channels as they settle in and get you some normal hours!
