Cider has always struggled a little bit to get traction here. Not just here in Cincinnati, but in the US as a bigger picture. We’ve got some Cincinnati cider makers creating some really fun stuff, but the bigger world of drinkers just don’t seem to get it for some reason. I’m not attacking you either – I fully admit that I don’t always get it. Sometimes cider to me just sort of taste like – well… apples.
But there are other times where it clicks, it all comes together and it makes sense. Be it a fun flavored cider release, or a barrel aged version, or something really funky and layered with flavors that remind me of a farm in the summertime cider has the potential to be really awesome.
We have some good stuff coming out in the cider realm here in Cincinnati, and I know that there are plenty of people who either a) area already cider fans, or b) could become fans of it if they saw the light.
As a fan of drinking – it’s only fitting that I bring to you the definitive source for all that is cider in Cincinnati. If you’re looking for the producers and the places to grab a great cider – you have found the right spot. Cincinnati cider lives right here.
Note – you’ll see on this page a list of cider producers in Cincinnati… I don’t as of yet have all the details about each place’s cider programs published and updated, so there are some that have several on at all times, and some that are just periodic… sorry. I promise that I’m working on getting it all organized a little bit better!
